Kiungo is physical and digital, people and devices. These are ideas we're exploring for where it could go. None of them exists yet. We share them because Kiungo is meant to be shared.
Messages that hop from phone to phone
Phones can pass short messages to each other directly over Bluetooth, without the internet. If enough people in enough communities carry Kiungo, could a message hop from device to device until it arrives?
Imagine a link from Cape to Cairo, Lagos, Dakar and the Horn of Africa.
AI that runs on the device in your hand
AI models are getting small enough to run on a phone, with no connection needed. We're exploring devices in the system that run them, so that people can use that AI, share it with others nearby, and earn from sharing it.
A local shop as an access point
Some plaza shops already sell Wi-Fi by the voucher. A shop in the Kiungo system could offer more than a connection: a place where a community gets online, and gets access to AI, close to home.
